Earlier this year, I was honored when fellow Chief Julie Morris traveled to NYC for a photoshoot with me.
Early in her career, Julie’s vision was to be the best “woman behind the man” for men, women, university leaders, a member of congress, politicians, corporate c-suite, philanthropy, cybersecurity…the list goes on.
Julie said, “I made a career out of hiding behind someone else’s name and greatness.”
So when it came time to build her own personal brand, it was vulnerable and nerve-wracking. “But the results are exceptional,” Julie shared.
“As a thought leadership and personal brand consultant, I know that building your own visibility is no longer an option. It’s a must, whether it’s for a new role or a new consultancy.”
Her advice? Invest in yourself and your personal brand. “You’re going to feel ready for what’s next. Make this investment. Don’t settle for a headshot where your photographer is merely checking a box after a long list of corporate onsite sessions. Choose your own photographer, one deeply invested in your success.”
